Ingredients
  

  • 3 small cans of tuna fish
  • 4 medium potatoes boiled
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 small egg
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger or ginger paste
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Spices:

  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of chat masala

Instructions
 

  • Mash the potatoes and put them in a large bowl.
  • Add rest of the ingredients except the breadcrumbs. Mix everything very well.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and give them any shape you desire. I have made them in an oval shape.
  • Dip them in the beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Put plenty of oil in a pan on medium-high heat. When it is hot fry the fish balls in small batches until golden and crisp.
  • Remove and put them on a kitchen towel. Serve the Fish Tikkis hot with mint Chutney or ketchup.
