Put a frying pan with oil, over medium-high heat. When it's hot, add the cumin seeds.
When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add okra and onion. Sauté for a few seconds.
Add turmeric powder and salt. Continue sautéing for about 2-3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and green chillies. Mix everything well.
Cover the pan and let it cook for five minutes or until the okra fully cooked.
Serve with white rice or Roti.
