Ingredients
3 small cans of tuna fish
4 medium potatoes boiled
1 small onion finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
1 small egg
2 teaspoons grated ginger or ginger paste
1 green chilli finely chopped (optional)
Salt to taste
Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
Spices:
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of chat masala
Instructions
Mash the potatoes and put them in a large bowl.
Add rest of the ingredients except the breadcrumbs. Mix everything very well.
Take small portions of the mixture and give them any shape you desire. I have made them in an oval shape.
Dip them in the beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Put plenty of oil in a pan on medium-high heat. When it is hot fry the fish balls in small batches until golden and crisp.
Remove and put them on a kitchen towel. Serve the Fish Tikkis hot with mint Chutney or ketchup.
