  • 200gr okra
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Wash the Okra and dry them with a kitchen towel before cutting them.
  • Put a frying pan with oil on medium-high heat. When it is hot add the chopped onion.
  • When the onion is transparent, add chopped okra, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix everything.
  • Stir for 15 minutes until the okra is tender.
  • Serve them with Chapati or as a side dish.
