Mango Mastani

For me, mango is the king of fruits for its unique taste, aroma, and texture. It is the national fruit in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and some other Asian countries. These countries produce many superior varieties. Among the best varieties are Alphonso, Himshagar, Kesar, Dasheri, Amropali, Chausa, Badami, Raj-bhog, Langra, etc. These varieties stand out for their sweet taste, intense colour, and non-fibrous pulp. June-July is the full season of mango in India.

The mango recipe that I bring you today is a very popular drink in Pune, located in the west of India. But today it has become popular all over India.

It is a creamy shake with a dense texture that is very delicious. This mango shake is prepared with very ripe mango, vanilla ice cream and milk. Then they are presented in a very large with chopped fresh mango and vanilla ice cream. And finally, they are decorated with nuts and tutti-frutti.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe mangos
  • 300ml of cold whole milk
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Sugar to taste
  • Pistachios and tutti-frutti for garnish

 

Instructions:

-Peel the mangoes and cut them into small cubes. Reserve a few of these pieces for the final presentation.

-Add the rest of the pieces into the blender. Add the milk, sugar and blend them.

-Add three scoops of vanilla ice cream and blend again until getting a dense and creamy texture.

-For the final presentation, put mango pieces that we reserved before in a large glass. Add the shake and place a ball of vanilla ice cream on top of it.

-Finally, decorate with pistachio and tutti-frutti. Serve it immediately with a spoon.
